Meet the Team

Dentist in Chicago, Illinois

Kendall Koch, D.D.S.
I’ve had a practice in the 25 East Washington building for over 30 years. In 2010, I moved my practice in with Dr. Gilleran and I couldn’t be happier! I’ll always be eternally grateful for the opportunity to practice dentistry in such a beautiful and well-run office. The only problem with the office is for the first time in my career I’m the oldest person here!

I was born at Oak Park Hospital in 1950 and grew up in the Chicago area, graduating from Proviso East High School in 1968. After attending Triton College, I served two years in the Army as a registered X-ray tech/medic. After the Army, I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Northeastern Illinois University and in 1980, I graduated from University of Illinois Dental School.

I’ve always enjoyed fixing and learning new things. I do have an uncanny talent for aggravating my wife, so maybe that’s my hobby. My family, Irma, Christina, and Karl, have been the source of most of my joy in my life the last 25 years, but my wonderful patients rank a very close second.

Therese – Office Manager
From answering the phone to following up on an unpaid insurance claim, as long as it helps our day to run smoothly and ensures our patients will have a better experience, I am happy to do it!  When patients admit they are apprehensive about dentistry, I let them know they’ve found the right place. It is great to be part of an office where patients are treated fairly, ethically, and the doctor works to educate patients so they can make informed decisions about treatment. I have a personal interest in health and nutrition, and would like to pursue classes in these topics in the future.

Jean – Registered Dental Hygienist
I provide our patients with detailed knowledge about their individual dental health in addition to general cleanings and periodontal care. I love the patient interaction on the job, as well as the education we get on the latest findings in oral health. Our doctors are extremely caring with every patient, as if each one was the only one. I am married and have helped my husband, Tom, raise his four boys. Outside of work I enjoy baseball, specifically going to the Chicago White Sox games. My family really enjoys the outdoors, especially biking and nightly walks with our dog, Maggie.

Jim – Treatment and Insurance Coordinator
I work in our front office where I schedule patient appointments and submit insurance claims. I enjoy meeting new people and seeing them smile after completing their treatment. Our doctor’s dedication to our patients is extremely noteworthy. As one of eight children, I love spending time with my large family, as well as traveling and exploring new cities and countries. Additionally, living in Chicago opens the door to all sorts of fun and exciting events, depending on the season.

Trini – Clinical Coordinator and Dental Assistant
In addition to assisting our doctor and hygienists with patient care, I also manage the flow of the clinic and follow up with equipment repairs. I really enjoy our great patients and love working for both doctors who are great to the patients as well as their staff. I have two beautiful little girls who keep me busy when I’m not at work, and I enjoy every minute I spend with them.

Melissa – Dental Assistant
I help our office run efficiently by providing exceptional four-handed dentistry for any treatment needed. I also aid in maintaining a clean and sterile environment for our patients as well as educating them on their personal treatment needs and making sure they are comfortable in our office. I l feel very lucky to be part of such an amazing office. We truly are a family and Dr. Gilleran is always ready to teach us new things to improve our time at the office as well as our personal lives.

When I am not assisting them, I enjoy small projects around the house, entertaining friends in my new home, and most of all, I love to play and train my 2 crazy dogs to do just about anything.
